We now have an exciting opportunity to join our Apprenticeship Program, within our Supply Chain team, at Varian, Crawley UK.

This apprentice scheme offers the successful candidate a chance of gaining a highly transferable skill set of knowledge, skills and behaviors that can be applied to all sectors.

The Opportunity

Our Training Program offers:
• First 18 months - Level 3 in Business Administration which involves on-the-job training. This will involve a rotation program whereby the successful candidate will gain a broad experience in the following areas: Procurement, Planning, Operations, Project Management with optional modules in Warehouse and Distribution, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering or Service.
• On the job and off the job skills training.
• Project improvement support and preparation.
• Planning, target setting and feedback.
• Following 2 years; The successful candidate will be given the choice of either completing a Level 4 Business Administration Diploma or a Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Apprenticeship Role:
• Successfully complete a portfolio to obtain Level 3 qualification to enable progression to Level 4 qualification.
• Meet regularly with Apprentice Program Provider to review portfolio and key skills progress and agree objectives, actions and deadlines.
• Meet regularly with the Supply Chain Manager for opportunity for feedback on apprenticeship progress, issues and training requirements covering both technical and personal skills.
• To carry out other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your manager in line with the Apprenticeship program.

Minimum Apprenticeship Entry Requirements:
• Minimum of five GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above, including Maths, Science and English.
• An aptitude for business, results, quality, a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
