26 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Thurs and Fri), term time only, 36 weeks per year.

Fixed term contract until 3.7.20.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Learner Support Assistant to be based at our Lewes campus within the Foundation Learning department. Our entry provision is a bespoke provision for young adults who have special educational needs and provides a wide ranging curriculum promoting independence and life skills.

The post holder will support students on a one to one basis to achieve within the teaching and learning environment, both practical and classroom based, and during break times, to encourage them to develop independent learning skills. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the SEND Coordinator and curriculum teams to ensure the provision meets needs identified within the EHCP or SEN Support plan.

Applicants will need to have knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and experience of supporting young people with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities.
