Job Purpose
Sussex Cricket Pathway is the junior performance arm of Sussex Cricket. The purpose of which is to help produce an oversupply of cricketers into the Sussex Club and Sussex professional cricket environments.

We are consolidating various elements and are looking for a group of experienced part-time coaches to drive this programme through consistent quality coaching and presence.

The role will be largely field-based at one of the Pathways hubs which include Hove, Seaford College, Westbourne House, Bede’s School, Eastbourne College, Imberhorne School.

Key Responsibilities
• To work within the Sussex Cricket Pathway as a Lead for the Area Training (AT) and Lead a County Age Group Team fixtures (CAG)
• Area delivery of 6 hours on a Sunday and 2 hours midweek, for 32 weeks over winter and spring
• CAG 30 days of matches and training in the summer
• Provide administrative support for 150/200 players in a specific area
• Provide administrative support for a single age group squad. Selection, match management and feedback
• Managing and updating player feedback, databases, including data collection, insight and analysis
• Maintaining and monitoring all aspects of the ‘play cricket’ website relevant to your CAG

General
• To carry out tasks in a timely, accurate and high-quality manner • Maintain close working relationships with all Sussex Cricket staff and uphold the Organisation’s shared values
• Attend events, presentations and meetings which may involve some out-of-hours work
• Any other reasonable additional and related duties as requested by the Head of Pathway

Qualifications required
• Working towards or have an ECB level 3 qualification or Degree in relevant field

Hours: 8 hours for 32 weeks in the winter/spring and 30 days over the summer performance phase
Location: Home-based with various travel around Sussex and South East of England
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term from 1 November 2019 to 31 October 2020

Sussex CCC was the first First-Class County formed in 1839

In November 2015, an historic merger took place between Sussex County Cricket Club and the Sussex Cricket Board, to form Sussex Cricket Limited (SCL). SCL is responsible for the governance and development of the whole game in the county, from recreational to professional level.

Sussex County Cricket Club is the oldest professional sports club in the world and one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. Its limited overs team is called the Sussex Sharks. The club has always held first-class status. Sussex have competed in the County Championship since the official start of the competition in 1890 and have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England.

The Club won its first County Championship in 2003, which was the beginning of an era in which Sussex enjoyed prolonged success, named 'The Golden Decade'.

Sussex Cricket also incorporates the Sussex Cricket Foundation (SCF). Through the activities, it provides the SCF aim to make cricket accessible to all.
