This large corporate needs to find a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a skilled team of Cloud & Infrastructure Engineers who design, build & manage the technology stacks that run complex web applications, based on AWS.

Work for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer is broad, from improving availability & scalability to tightening security, championing agile processes and DevOps approaches. There is also good opportunity to improve testing, build processes, delivery pipelines and to automate further. This Infrastructure Engineering team build solutions for other internal teams, so the ability to translate high level requirements into epics, stories & tasks is needed.

The current technologies include AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Puppet & Docker, Java, Jenkins for CI/CD & Ansible, with other technologies currently being assessed as potential improvements for the future.

With the teams focused on continuous improvement, there’s always lots to do and with communication key to the team’s success, views & opinions of potential improvements are sought & shared across the team. Head down coding is part of the work for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, but being able to help, support & contribute to the success of other team members work too, is essential!

Skills & Experience:

- Good experience of Cloud & infrastructure engineering
- Hands-On experience with AWS
- Experience with Terraform or Kubernetes
- Experience of building IaaS is useful
- Building reusable components
- Automation skills
- Jenkins or other CI/CD tool
- Puppet, Docker or other configuration management tool
- Ansible skills is beneficial
- As would Java, Python or Bash (Useful, not essential)
