Business Development Executive – £27,000 basic + commission – Horsham, West Sussex

Aerco are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join us at our offices in Horsham, West Sussex. The successful candidate will have a number of responsibilities, including receiving customers’ requests for quotation through a number of mediums, delivering an excellent level of customer service and being proactive in identifying accounts that can be developed and grown. The key responsibilities of a Business Development Executive include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing business opportunities from new customers and expanding the customer base
  • Creating and continuing to develop outstanding relationship with clients, partners and colleagues, effectively communicating our value proposition both written and verbally
  • Identifying and qualifying new opportunities in order to build and develop a sales pipeline for new business prospects
  • Adhering to activity KPI’s, creating marketing and lead generation plans for continual improvement on target growth
  • Driving attendance to events and webinars
  • Ensuring that the CRM system is always up to date
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of the business process and sales cycle

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Executive:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with others (customers and suppliers) while retaining appropriate independence
  • Persuasive, a good listener and has an enquiring mind; someone who can identify the real and underlying needs of clients and respond to meet them
  • Has good knowledge of the features and benefits of Aerco’s products and can articulate them verbally and in writing
  • Self-confident and self-motivated towards achieving personal and team goals; and practices good time management and judgement in assessing and responding to team priorities
  • Can operate and gain information from the OneOffice system, Goldmine, the sourcing system and all relevant supplier web sites; and create and manipulate documents, spreadsheets etc.
  • Understands the markets in which we operate and the positions of the various major players in those markets including customers, suppliers and competitors
