Description

We support and enable young people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities as well as barriers to learning to successfully achieve their qualifications, progress onto a programme which inspires them and become a young adult with a clear vision about their future.

We have high expectations for all of our learners and are determined that they will exceed their aspirations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and student focused professional to join our dynamic Foundation Learning Team. 

The post involves the coordination of a team and teaching on courses within our inclusive Foundation Learning provision.

You will be passionate about inclusion and be able to deliver a range of entry and level 1 subjects which could include maths and/or English as well as employability skills and personal and social development.

You will work effectively with the Foundation Learning Team to deliver lessons which are of a high quality and fully engage all of our learners. You will support the continual development of the area by contributing to departmental planning and team meetings. 

You will be an excellent communicator and have strong organisational skills as well as having experience of working with young people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities as well as behaviour which could be described as challenging.

You should have a relevant degree (or equivalent), a teaching qualification, post-qualification experience and a student-centred approach to teaching and learning.

This post is subject to a DBS check.
