Financial Controller
Badenoch + Clark have partnered with a leading SME business in the local area that has gone through a period of high growth and now has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the management team. You will need to have experience of working within a SME business along with the desire to drive the financial team forward after a period of positive change. With the strong likelihood of additional growth within the group you will ideally have the career aspirations to progress further in your career over the next few years.
Responsibilities:
*Production of accurate monthly management accounts to deadlines.
*Maintaining a robust reporting environment, regular reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts ensuring all reconciling items are investigated and resolved.
*Manage cash flow, ensuring that funds are available from our financing facilities to maximise working capital without impacting the operational success of the business.
*Monthly reconciliation of accounting ledgers to finance facility.
*Setting KPIs and targets for finance team to motivate and monitor performance.
*Business partnering with cost centre managers to monitor performance vs. budget.
*Driving efficiencies in the monthly payroll routines (in conjunction with the payroll manager)
*Assist in the preparation of the year-end audit files and analysis.
*Team management
Key Skills:
*Qualified Accountant
*Exposure of working in a high transaction SME environment
*Experience of driving process and improvements across a finance function
*Team management
*Advanced IT & Excel skills
