Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Concrete Products

Area to be covered: South East Ideally based: London

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 neg. + up to £12,000 bonus (paid quarterly)

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Concrete Products will involve:

• Field sales position selling a high end quality manufactured range of concrete products such as: retaining walls, paving, beams, blocks, flags, acoustic blocks and architectural masonry
• Dealing with typical applications such as: marinas, leisure centers, hospitals, schools, apartment blocks, nursing homes and offices
• 70% of your time will be spent selling to main contractors, sub-contractors, groundworks contractors, landscape contractors
• 20% of your time will focus on selling via civil merchant and builders merchant
• The remaining 10% will be required to look after specification won and passed via partner Specification Sales Manager
• Targeted to achieve approximately £1m in the first year with the vision to grow this year on year
• Dealing with order values ranging from around £60k - £500k per project
• 80% of your time will be spent generating new business relationships with the remainder spent managing and expanding existing relationships.
• Working in partnership with a dedicated Specification Sales Manager
• Utilizing the internal support network including: design teams, estimating and internal sales

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Concrete Products experience with:

·Must have experience selling via main contractors, sub-contractors, groundworks contractors, landscape contractors OR work for a builder merchant / civil merchant looking to get in field sales

·Would consider somebody a construction based qualification such as a civil engineer, structural engineer or architectural technologist without field sales

·Ideally have experience selling a technically similar product such as, concrete blocks, acoustic blocks, paving, retaining walls

·Technical understanding of precast concrete design advantageous

·Capable of both generating new business and managing / expanding existing accounts

·Hungry, Driven but also a “safe per of hands”

·Autonomous and poses a positive attitude
