Demand Planner (Supply Chain)
6 month contract
Salary: £25k
Location: Hove
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5pm

This role is primarily based in Hove, however some travel within the UK may be required.

My client is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Demand Planner to join their busy and successful Supply Chain Team based in their head office in Hove.

The Demand Planner will be responsible for leading the demand planning process, working closely with the commercial marketing, sales and branch operations across the require category division to increase supply chain efficiency.


* To lead the demand planning process for the allocated category
* Analysing KPI's to drive continuous improvements in forecast accuracy as a means of maximising availability, minimising stockholding whilst taking into account seasonality and promotions.
* To establish strong relationships with commercial, sales, operational teams and suppliers
* Strong analytical skills, ability to focus on both detail and big picture
* To manage the introduction of new lines into the branches so that the inbound supply chain, forecasts and stock positioning are all appropriate
* Agree action plans and drive improvements on poor performing suppliers
* Close collaboration with the National Accounts Teams to fully understand the requirements

The right candidate will have:

* Ideally prior experience within supply chain, retail/wholesale environment
* Keen eye for detail, excellent numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
* Builds and maintains excellent collaborative working relationships
* Prior experience of working with inventory optimisation or forecasting systems
* Excellent IT skills
