
Central Sussex College was launched on 1st August 2005 and offers a wide range of full and part time courses, from entry level to post-graduate, including vocational programmes, A levels, apprenticeships, adult education and short, professional and industrial training.
In addition to training and educating 3000 young people each year, the college is focused on enhancing our support to the community, local businesses and key employment sectors, by providing both current employees and the future workforce with the skills they need to be competitive. Every year around 11,000 students choose to study here to develop their skills, enhance their career prospects, gain a place at university or simply to try something for personal enjoyment.
Over £40 million has been invested in recent years to ensure that excellent facilities exist at our campuses in Burgess Hill, Crawley, East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Horsham. Those studying at the College can benefit from industry-standard training facilities, well-stocked learning resource centres, a performing arts and theatre space 'The Hub', commercial hair and beauty salons and a five-star rated training restaurant.
Our brand new University Centre at Central Sussex College offers a flexible and diverse range of higher education and professional courses delivered to the highest standards and have equivalence with those attained at university. Working in partnership with well-established local universities, our local and affordable Access Diplomas, HNC/HND, Foundation Degrees, Top Up Degree and professional courses allow employers, adults and young people to reach their full potential, whilst minimising costs associated with study..
Our recently opened training venue, Horsham Training Centre, provides ‘bite-sized’ training opportunities, as well as longer professional courses, which have a direct impact on workforce knowledge and skills, delivered in a setting appropriate to employer and employee needs.
As an established provider of professional training, we work with around 2000 business each year. Our Employer Services team guides employers to the right training and can advise on any funding that might be available. They also offer a free training and support package to those who have been recently made redundant or are unemployed, or companies who are trying to manage a programme of redundancies.
