Personal data is any information relating to an individual, whether it relates to his or her private, professional or public life.   If either one piece of information about you, or that piece of information combined with another piece of data about you, means that you be identified – then that is personal data.

Personal data can be anything from a name, a home address, a photo, an email address, bank details, posts on social networking websites, medical information, or a computer’s IP address.

We collect the personal data of the following data subjects to allow us to undertake our business:

  • jobseekers using the job board platforms;

  • contacts at our Partner organisations;
  • prospect and current contacts in public, private and voluntary sectors organisations;
  • supplier contacts to support our services;
  • employees, consultants and temporary workers.

What personal data do we collect about you?

Jobseekers

When you apply for a vacancy on our platform we record your name and email address, and you upload your CV.

If you create a candidate account on our platform you’ll complete a candidate profile which requires additional information:  a personal statement; most recent job title, desired job title; sector and length of experience; location preferences; availability; desired salary; desired hours of work; eligibility to work in the UK.

Contacts

When you register a vacancy on our platform we collect your contact information to enable you to fill the job vacancy or find suitable candidates. This information includes your name, role title, organisation address, corporate email address and phone number.

We also collect the personal data outlined above about contacts in our prospective and current partners, public, private and voluntary sector organisations.

Supplier Contacts and Employees

We collect personal data about contacts at our suppliers, and our employees, temporary and contract workers.   Information about the collection, use and sharing of personal data is provided in (a) Confidentiality Agreement for suppliers and (b) LLJ Group Privacy Notice for employees.  Both documents are available on request.

The remaining sections of this privacy notice apply to Jobseekers and Contacts.

Where do we get your personal data from?

The majority of the personal information we collect is provided freely by you when you fill in forms on the platform or correspond with us by phone, email or otherwise.   It includes information provided when you subscribe to our services, post material, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our platform, enter a competition or survey, attend our events, or request further services.

Jobseekers

You provide personal data when you use our platform to apply for a job vacancy, create an online account, register for job alerts, upload your CV, create a covering letter, and fill in any online forms.

In addition, we may obtain information about you from other sources including:

  • Linkedin, your business card, corporate websites, social networking and media sites;
  • industry forums, events and conferences, local business networks;

How and why we use your personal data.

Jobseekers

The LoveLocalJobs.com platform uses your personal data to match your skills, experience and education with potential job opportunities and future work pathways.

You can apply for a job vacancy on the platform with or without creating a candidate account.  In either case your details and CV are sent automatically to the employer that is advertising the job.

If you create a candidate account on our platform, you have the option to allow your CV and personal details to be viewed by employers using the platform.  Organisations or recruitment firms can search, view over the internet or download your information when they set up a search for candidate details that match your profile.  You can consent to your CV and personal details to be viewed and forwarded to potential employers in this way from your candidate account.

After you’ve applied for a job vacancy, all further contact about the vacancy will be conducted directly between you and the potential employer.

When you apply for a job on the platform and your CV is sent directly to the advertising employer, and/or an employer searches the CV database and downloads your information, they are responsible for storing and collecting additional information from you that is collected during the recruitment process.

You may be re-directed to another URL to process a job application because the employer requires you to comply with their online service.  Once a new URL is generated, we’re not responsible for the data that you supply that URL.

Contacts

The personal information provided when you create an employer account on the LoveLocalJobs.com platform enables us to set up and manage your account, so you can use our services and place orders.  Through your account you can post job vacancies, or access the CV database to search for candidates.  Jobseekers can search the platform for your company information and your job vacancies that match their search criteria.

In addition, we use the personal information collected through the platform to provide you, or allow selected third parties to provide you, with information, products or services that you request from us, or that we feel may interest you.  You have the option to opt out of the use of your data in this way when you register on the platform.

Outside the platform, we collect information about you to carry out our core business and supporting activities, Including:

  • to carry out our obligations resulting from any contracts arising between you and us;
  • to notify you about changes to our service;
  • to update you about our latest products, events, new and special offers;
