Job Title: Sales Executive

 

Overview:

CoolStays is a fast-growing online travel company on an exciting journey. It’s our mission to curate the definitive list of amazing places to stay in the UK and abroad.

 

Each property listed on CoolStays offers something truly quirky, noteworthy or stylish. The variety of accommodation includes the coolest quintessential cottages, villas, B&Bs and boutique hotels as well as glamping options such as gypsy caravans, shepherds huts and off grid cabins along with luxury tree houses; cool conversions such as planes, trains, boats, buses, churches, windmills, lighthouses and deluxe beach huts.

 

Launched in 2013 we now have well over 2000 properties. We intend to expand this number dramatically with your help!

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, enthusiastic and talented Sales person to get involved in an online business at the start of its rapid growth phase, helping us drive sales and expand our portfolio.

 

Principal Tasks:

  • Outbound sales - To tackle our growing database of cool places we want to have on board.
  • “Cool-hunting” - To seek out new prospects to add to our database and help keep our expansion moving along.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Driving sales and revenue through maintaining a steady stream of new properties joining the portfolio
  • Maintain retention of our existing property owner members.
  • Maintaining the brand integrity of CoolStays - ensuring our collection only includes “unique” places to stay.
  • Keeping abreast of travel trends and identifying new potential property owners

Your profile:

  • You will be confident and personable with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • You will be a team player who is willing to muck in and help colleagues out.
  • You will have a good eye for detail as well as excellent written and grammatical skills.
  • You will enthusiastic, and able to work quickly and accurately under pressure by prioritising effectively.
  • You will be a conscientious self-starter and able to work reliably from home without supervision.
  • You will be a lateral thinker and have the ability to think creatively.
  • You will have a passion for travel and staying in unique places.
  • You will have knowledge and understanding of the travel sector, the various online travel companies in our field, and various booking platforms such as Airbnb, Homeaway, OwnersDirect and booking.com
  • The perfect candidate will have experience in a similar business

Your Skills & Experience:

 

Essential: All candiates must have...

  • A strong sales background
  • Experience working in the travel sector
  • Great project management skills
  • Highly IT literate
  • Experience working in a small fast-growing business
  • High standard of written and verbal communication

Desirable:

  • Experience using Base CRM, Slack, Mailchimp and Trello.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM and social media marketing.

 

Specifics:

 

Hours: This could be full-time or part-time role, ideally at least 30 hours per week, and hours can be flexible with the majority within core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri.

 

Location: This is a homeworking role with regular meetings in Brighton and London. Travel expenses will be paid.

 

Pay: Equivalent to £30,000 per annum OTE for a full time position.
