Lead Technical / Application Support

Crawley, West Sussex

A permanent opportunity exits for a Technical / Application Support professional with experience of application / product support within a software house, providing 1st level technical support to global customers. This is a lead position, and the ability to deliver product training to both external clients and internal employees is required.

Paying a basic salary up to £38K. Benefits include:

The successful Lead Technical / Applications Support professional will be joining a talented support team within the Customer Success Department, as part of continued global success and expansion. Your knowledge, skills and communication will be a critical part of day to day activities.

The main duties of the Lead Technical / Application Support professional will be:

* 1st level technical application / product support, and some 2nd level support
* Successfully resolve customer support tickets via central helpdesk
* Working directly with software engineers and developers to report bugs with suitable detail
* Administer first class service to all of our customers whilst working closely with the Technical Operations Team
* Taking ownership of issues raised and provide efficient resolutions
* Troubleshoot and find efficient ways to resolve customer support issues

As Lead Technical / Application Support, you will need to have:

* A high level of interest and experience in e-commerce, Internet and web technologies
* Previous experience of managing a team providing a high level of technical customer support
* The ability to take complex customer requirements, detail them and work with the engineers to agree and spec out technical requirements and details
* A good working knowledge and practices of customer project management
* Ability to prioritise and guide your team, and introduce / review existing processes
* A friendly, helpful and passionate approach to help new customer use our market leading products
