Bring your strong teamwork and customer service skills to our fast-paced student restaurant facility where you will play an important role supporting the delivery of high-quality hospitality services to the students, staff and conference delegates who use the facilities at Varley Park.

In this hands-on role working in a small team, you will provide practical assistance to the Chefs and Hospitality Managers, maintain a predetermined standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the catering unit, carry out general portering duties and handle deliveries ensuring goods are unloaded, checked and stored according to the correct procedure. In addition, you will assist with basic food preparation as directed by the Chef.

The ability and aptitude to work in a busy customer facing role is essential, as is the ability to communicate well with customers in order to provide a high-quality service. Previous experience in a similar role is also essential, while a basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.

Hours of work are 7.30am -15.30am with some flexibility required for holiday periods. Job sharers are welcome.
