Compliance Investigations Officer - £22k plus benefits – Haywards Heath

Our client is a leading, well respected organisation based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

Situated close to the town centre and only a few minutes’ walk from the train station our client is in an ideal location.

The role of Compliance Investigations Officer will report to the Head of the department; our client is a medium sized firm which offer a comfortable open plan office to work in.

The duties of this position involve the management of investigations which can be from either the public or from clients. You will develop and maintain the investigation and dispute management process with each individual case.

Provide guidance and advice to clients on how to avoid complaints and manage a portfolio of members to ensure they adhere to the code of conduct required at all times.

Previous experience of dealing with customers is essential in this position, if you have worked in a position dealing with complaints from customers this would be ideal.

This is not a call centre role, you would expect to deal with only one or two disgruntled customers a day and the rest of the contact would be all customer service, so not all bad…

Your background could be from the police services, financial services, banking, legal, regulatory, call centre, credit control, debt recovery and many more.

You need to be assertive and able to follow processes, good written and verbal communication skills are essential as there is a high degree of liaising with clients and the public on a daily basis. We are seeking a confident and assured person who can communicate in a polite and professional manner.

Candidates that wish to move away from a call centre environment and work within a role that will use their communication skills would also suit this role.

This position will offer full training with excellent support.

The role is full time and permanent, 5 days a week with a starting salary of £22,000.

35 hours per week although some flexibility is expected. During probation working hours are 9am – 5pm with a 1 hour lunchbreak.

23 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays rising by one day for each full year, to a maximum of 28 days. This will be pro-rata for the first year.

Pension auto enrolment after 3 months. During this probation the company contributes the minimum (3%) and employee 2%. After successfully completing the probationary period, the contribution rises to 6%.

The following benefits are available after successfully completing the probationary period (usually 6 months):

Flexi time

Season ticket advance (paid back monthly)
