Lloyd Recruitment services are currently working with an established and reputable business based in East Grinstead who are currently in search of an Affiliate Channel Marketing Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s B2B dealer strategy in support of membership and retention targets.

Key responsibilities:

Industry – Marketing Channel Management - Manage industry relations in respect of

Dealer strategy and Industry sector products

Develop and implement the Dealer Channel proposition to ensure that it provides an effective membership acquisition channel, and enhances and promotes the company’s reputation in the wider industry

Manage training courses and venues so that they meet members’ requirements and maintain profitable revenue return

Source and negotiate new venues as appropriate and in line with market growth

Submit annual consolidated budget reports and proposals and ensure control of approved expenditure within agreed budgets

Source and direct the use of voluntary assistance support in the organisation in support of Events, Exhibitions and Dealer strategy

Events:

Plan, implement and manage Events & Industry team, setting out clear objectives and measurements on performance in relation to revenue and expenditure, additionally providing detailed reviews post event for:

Events and Exhibitions – including all outdoor and indoor shows and Events

Publicity campaigns and experiential events

Control of Outfit competitions held under company regulations for annual awards

Plan, deliver and manage the company’s roadmap of attendance at Indoor and Outdoor exhibitions / events to maximise investment aligned to membership and Brand awareness targets, including sourcing new event locations and opportunities

Manage company event assets so that they are used productively, and in particular liaise with Membership Marketing Team on all relevant aspects of product/campaign marketing and promotion at events and exhibitions to achieve acquisition and revenue targets

Manage the company annual awards schedule ensuring that the company’s pre-eminent position within the industry is maintained and enhanced

Review and recommend new award sponsorship opportunities in existing and adjacent related markets

Manage sponsorship opportunities, industry and commercial relationships in respect of events and campaigns ensuring that all contracts are entered into in the best interests of the company. Act as the focal point for industry and commercial partner relationships related to Events

Attend and report at Events Committee meetings

How are most problems solved?

Review and analysis of events, stakeholders/participants, dealer and industry relations and internal performance measurements, which take into account business priorities, resource availability and effective supplier relations

Emphasis is on cross-functional team work to ensure decisions are well informed and can be implemented

Close liaison with commercial and strategic partners ensuring that all contracts are entered into in the best interests of the company

What decisions are made by this job?

How best to continually optimise the company’s event schedule and industry relations to maximise member acquisition, retention, satisfaction and financial performance

Day to day decisions emerging from the results/impacts of events and industry relations on internal and external stakeholders, including initiative and willingness to influence other areas

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

Proven Affinity Marketing relationship management experience in an intermediated/dealer/ partner environment

Proven events management experience in a membership/customer-centric commercial environment (ideally B2C or B2B2C), with specific experience in large outdoor and indoor exhibitions and events

Proven ability and confidence to deliver outstanding events on time and within budget

Ability to create strong relationships with external business partners, sponsors and suppliers

Exposure to and understanding of contract management

Strong written and oral communication skills

Commercially astute

Excellent relationship management skills

Comfortable working as part of a team as well as on their own initiative

Able to manage multiple work streams and prioritise effectively to ensure deadlines are met

Positive and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude

Degree - professional event and / or commercial qualification is desirable

Salary up to £45K DOE
