Apprentice Vehicle Accident Repair Technician Motor Vehicle
Sussex Vehicle Body Repairs will be interviewing throughout the vacancy advertisement period. If you are keen to secure the role make sure you get your application in.
You will work four days per week with Sussex Vehicle Body Repairs and then complete one day per week, during term time, at the East Sussex College Group, campus, based in Eastbourne, Hampden Park. Please make sure that you have transport to get to the workplace and college.
We are recruiting for:
A talented and efficient individual, who will receive training from a senior technician who has been in the industry for over 25-yrs.
- Damage assessment
- Job cards and assessment reports
- Panel removal, repair and refit
- Welding and joining
- Vehicle valeting
- Repair simple dents to re-fabrication
- Full training on how to use prep bays and booths.

The essential personal qualities for this role are:
- Being sociable
There are no essential qualifications for the role but as part of the recruitment process should you secure the role you will be asked to complete a computer based Maths, English and ICT assessment to make sure the course is suitable. This will accompany an Apprenticeship Information Session.
Once you have completed Level 2 there may be the option to progress to the Level 3 Apprenticeship for an additional year.
Things to consider
The location is easily accessed, there are bus routes and a train station nearby with lots of surrounding amenities.
To attend college once per week during term time you must also be able to make your way to the Eastbourne Campus, based in Hampden Park. For those living in Burgess Hill, relying on public transport there is a train from Burgess Hill to Haywards Heath and Haywards Heath to Hampton Park. Please bear in mind the travel costs.
