Job Description ILR and Data Funding Officer (MIS / PICS) required by one the South East’s leading training providers, delivering Apprenticeships and other ESF & ESFA funded classroom and workplace delivery, based in Brighton.

 

We are now looking to recruit an experienced and talented ILR and Data Funding Officer to take overall responsibility for the production and analysis of ESFA, ESF and sub-contracted funding claims, ensuring that all funding opportunities are maximised. You will bring a strong background in educational / learner data management to the role, utilising our PICS system to provide internal and external financial, data information and manage the full system.

 

It is essential that you are able to interpret and be fully proficient with government and ESFA funding rules, guidance and methodology, redefining organisational policies and procedures as necessary to ensure total compliance. You will also be required to prepare and oversee ESFA audit and ensure that we are 100% compliant (paper / electronic action plans) and that sufficient evidence is in place to substantiate all funding claims.

 

Responsibilities:

 

To assist in the preparation of all external funding returns and claims, running ILR exports and distributing rule violations and warnings to the operational support teams for clearing To have a comprehensive understanding of the Funding Methodology, ILR Specification and ILR Validation Rules Work closely with managers on a daily basis to maximise productivity and quality for the company on all matters relating to the Claim and ESFA Audit and any other new requirements needed for completion as a result of analysis. Supervise the administrative function of Data / PICS management. To assist with ad hoc data cleansing/data investigation tasks that may arise Monitor and review current practices to ensure they are continuously improved Ensure that all administration practices and procedures meet ESFA and funding guidance standards and compliance. Requirements:

 

A minimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar role In depth knowledge of using PICS or ESFA compliant MIS systems. Experience of creating reports, manipulating data and using pivot charts Experience of working with a Training Provider Experience of making claims Experience in managing Base Data and setting up Qualification Plans Experience or understanding of financial management for Levy and non- Levy employers Experience and understanding of Apprenticeship New Reforms and Standards Excellent I.T. skills including Excel Excellent communication skills both verbally & in writing Ability to analyse and report on conclusions
