16-18 Education:

BTECs, NVQs, Diplomas and A Levels will ensure you are ready to earn in your chosen profession. We have an excellent record of helping students achieve high pass rates in A-Levels and vocational courses, helping them go on to their first choice universities, and enter into the world of work.

University Centre Hastings

Our brand new University Centre Hastings will open in September 2017. We are growing our degree courses and developing a dedicated space on the fifth floor at Station Plaza to offer students the full university experience.

We are passionate about offering high-quality degree courses, validated by the University of Brighton, taught by our fully qualified and experienced tutors.

In the first year we will offer 6 full BA (Hons) course in arts, 3 BSc (Hons) courses in business, engineering and computing and a range of HNC and HND courses in key industry sectors in Sussex.

International Education

Our International Department has been welcoming students from across the world for over thirty years.

Our aim is to create a welcoming, relaxed and caring experience. Our International Students return home with new skills and knowledge, treasured memories and lasting friendships. 

This year we have students from over 60 nationalities studying with us at the College.

19+ Adult Learning & Community Learning

Adult Education:

Every year over 5,000 local adults study with us part time. We offer courses from Accounting to Sports Massage, DIY Carpentry to Cookery, Life Drawing to Engineering and much more.

Inside Track Project

Our Inside Track project is a FREE training programme designed for anyone aged 19+ (No upper age limit) who are unemployed and in receipt of benefits.

If you are unemployed and currently looking to improve your skills, you could join a number of courses, on a termly basis, to help you develop the very skills that employers are looking for.

Functional Skills – English - (City & Guilds)

  • 11 week course  - Designed to increase your abilities and achieve a qualification
  • Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications (Depending on numbers)
  • 3 Days a week,  Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • 9:30am – 1:00pm

Functional Skills – Math – (City & Guilds)

  • 11 week course – Designed to increase your abilities and achieve a qualification
  • Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications (Depending on numbers)
  • 2 Days a week, every Tuesday and Friday
  • 9:30am – 2:00pm

ICT Entry 3 (City & Guilds)

This course is ideal for those who are new to computers and need to use the internet for job searches and improve their computer skills to enhance employment opportunities

  • 5 week course
  • 2 Days a week
  • 9:30am – 2:30pm

ICT Level 1 (City & Guilds)

  • 5 weeks course – Once you have achieved your Entry 3 qualification you can progress onto this course.
  • 2 Days a week
  • 9:30am – 2:30pm

Springboard – Employability & Personal Development Level 1

This course is perfect for single parents who are looking to get back into work. The course is aimed at young parents who have children between the ages of 5 – 16. 

  • 10 week course
  • Tuesday – Friday
  • 6 weeks studying

Employability Skills

CV writing etc.

  • 4 weeks work experience
  • 9:30 – 1:30pm

STEP UP 50 + – Employability & Personal Development Level 1

This course is perfect if you are 50 years or over and looking to brush up on your employability skills and personal development.

  • 10 week course
  • Tuesday – Thursday
  • 6 weeks studying
  • 4 weeks work experience
  • 9:30 – 3:00pm

The Campuses

At our beautiful, modern campuses, students find a supportive and inspiring culture, the latest technology and experienced lecturers. Station Plaza is next to the train station in Hastings town centre. The large, light-filled atrium is surrounded by 22,000 square metres of study spaces and social zones.

Station Plaza houses IT suites, public gym, Coast coffee shop, Subway, Coast Restaurant, training kitchen, hair & beauty salons, art shop, diner and learning resource centre. 

Courses here include A Levels, Hospitality & Catering, The Arts, Hair & Beauty, Sport, Public Services, Health, Child and Social Care, Business and Foundation Learning.

Less than a mile away, Ore Valley takes under a minute by train from Hastings Town Centre and has 7,000 square metres of realistic working environments, workshops and ‘live build’ areas. 

Students here have access to the latest equipment and digital technology, Learning Resource Centre, diner and coffee shop. Ore Valley is where Construction, Engineering, Music and IT courses are based.
