Businesses in Mid Sussex benefit from easy access to first class training and education services, both within the District and nearby areas. These include the University of Brighton and University of Sussex just to the south of the District boundary which, together with the Sussex Innovation Centre, comprise the "Sussex Academic Corridor".

The Open University is also popular option for people in Mid Sussex and offers short courses, certificates, diplomas, and degree courses (both undergraduate and postgraduate).
